This is Just to Say

This is just to say
I have taken
the horse
that was in
the pasture

and which
you were probably saving
for later today

Forgive me
it was pretty
so i wanted to ride the horse
and so i stole it from you

Loyal and Betrayed

I have been betrayed by friends. I have been betrayed by a bunch of others things. I have been loyal to a lot of my friends. I have been loyal to my parents.

Speak Report

Over the summer Melinda went to a party. While at the party people were drunk. Sometime during the party something horrible happened to her she was rapped at the party. She had no friends while at school. She met heather during school. Her friend Heather was in a club called Martha’s. The Martha’s didn’t like Melinda and talked bad about her to Heather. After about a month of being friends with Melinda, Heather tells Melinda that they can no longer be friends. Melinda never told anyone about what happened over the summer, she kept it bottled up inside for a very long time without hinting it to anyone. Rachel was Melinda’s best friend from middle school, but once they entered high school they lost contact and Rachel barely talked to Melinda during their first year of high school. Melinda’s mom and dad worry about her, but never knew that she went to that party during the summer. Melinda tries to tell her mom and dad during Christmas, but she never did. Mr. Freeman was Melinda’s art teacher that she was close to but she also never told him about what happened at that party. Melinda is given an assignment in art to draw a tree that represents her past. She feels the want to draw about what happened at that party, but she doesn’t get the nerve to do so. After a while in art class Melinda becomes very attached to Mr. Freeman and thinks she can trust him. When the art project is due Melinda writes about what really happened at the party during the summer. Melinda told the whole story in art class, sobbing away the tears with a big lump in her throat. Mr. Freeman reads her paper and gives her an A+ for doing a great job on the paper. She finally understands at the end that it would of released and eased the pain if she would of been open and honest about what happened at the party during that summer. After Mr. Freeman reads the paper he understands her problem and talks to her about it. I feel that she should have told her parents in the first place, instead of keeping it from them. One day she wrote a paper on it and told Mr. Freeman what happened to her over the summer during that party. She kept it a secret for so long from everyone. One day she told them and her teacher about what really happened at that party with tears in her eyes she released the pain that she held in her heart for so long. And this story teaches me not to keep secrets from my parents nor my teachers, because they will soon find out about it. If you go ahead and with it, and keep you from having a lot of pain and sadness built up in your heart.
